Southland VolleyBall Club

Southland's objective is to provide a volleyball club that supports the South Kansas City Metro Area.  One of Southland's goals is to teach the love of volleyball through the game and to develop young athletes who will recognize that volleyball is a life long sport.  Southland will strive to create an environment that will provide our members with the opportunity to develop strong volleyball skills, meet new friends and build long term relationships that will span from the KC Regional area to nationwide.

Practices will be at Stonegate Elementary from 6-8 pm starting on Dec. 00 th and will be every Tue and Fri weather permitting .If Ray Pec schools are out  because of weather or other holidays we will not have practice or we will make other arrangments and contact everyone .Please contact Jay Rose 816-804-6847 or Kevin Wright 816-682-3127 with any questions . We select athletes based on ,willingness to be a team player,athletic ability for volleyball, athletic potential, work ethic, drive, competetive attitude, and current skill ability and or experience .Southland will have a Tryout selection Team consisting of the club director and head coaches.

After tryouts the Tryout Selection Team meets to determine which girls will be offered a contract to participate in our program. Athletes will be notified right after tryouts or that evening of tryouts in person or by telephone. Our web site will also post selections. The club expects a verbal commitment of the offer by 4:00 PM on Monday following Tryouts.The age division head coach will call the applicant or her parents for a decision, if the player or parent has made no response by the deadline. Decisions made by the player/parent or Southland is final.
